Joel and Lisa's Wedding photography
When I was planning my own wedding, I wanted glorious sunshine and warmth for my wedding photography and couldn’t understand the allure of winter weddings. However since my own wedding I cannot help be sucked in by the charm of winter weddings. The crackling open fires, the guests huddled up in coats and cosy corners, the opportunity for glorious shrugs and winter drinks. Lisa and Joel’s wedding was no exception to this. Happening just a few days after Christmas, the venue looked beautiful adorned in Christmas decorations. The wedding was a small and intimate affair at Edes House in Chichester. As the couple had only wanted a short amount of wedding photography it is important to make sure that the couple get a lovely momento of their day whilst also staying true to my style of photography – reportage.
On arrival Joel, who was looking very nervous had just enough time for a couple of pictures with his Dad and best man.
Lisa, the bride, looked beautiful in a gorgeous lacy dress and furry shrug with shoes custom made to incorporate stunning wintry patterns and the date of the wedding (something I have never seen before but love!). Despite the chilly and rainy weather, we managed to have time between downpours to take some group pictures (avoiding the muddy puddles and boggy grass which was difficult!).
Next stop was the Fountain Inn in Chichester and it didn’t fail to capture the essence of a winter wedding: roaring fires and Christmas cheer aplenty. Personal touches were plentiful at the reception and this continued through the speeches which were wonderfully heartfelt. All that was left after such a wonderful wedding was the cutting of the delicious looking cupcakes and a cigar for the boys on the cobbled streets of Chichester.
I received this lovely email from Lisa and Joel: "Thank you so much for the beautiful images you took of our day, and how discreet and professional you were. We adore the pictures and really feel you captured our day perfectly!"
Below are just a few images from the couples Wedding in Chichester.
Welcome to my very new Blog. I will be updating this section with Wedding photography and Portrait photography.
Whilst I am enjoying blogging, I am trying to ensure that as a photographer my pictures are doing the talking. This is why I am trying to keep my blog posts short and sweet and putting lots of images in instead. This is very hard for someone who loves a good chat!
